SMS Consent & Opt-In Policy
Last updated: April 11, 2026
How AlphaAssist Collects SMS Consent
AlphaAssist sends text messages on behalf of subscribing businesses for transactional purposes only — message notifications, appointment confirmations, and follow-ups. We collect consent through two channels:
1. Business Owner Consent (at Subscription)
When a business owner subscribes to AlphaAssist, they provide their phone number and explicitly consent to receive SMS notifications as part of the service. This consent is collected during the subscription checkout process.
Consent language presented at checkout:
"By subscribing, you agree to receive SMS notifications from AlphaAssist at the phone number you provide. Messages include caller alerts, appointment notifications, and service updates. Message frequency depends on your call volume. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. View our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service."
What they receive:
- Real-time SMS alerts when a caller leaves a message
- Appointment booking notifications
- Service updates and billing notifications
Frequency: Varies based on call volume, typically 1-20 messages per day.
2. Caller Consent (Verbal, During Phone Call)
When a caller interacts with the AI assistant and requests a text (e.g., appointment confirmation, a link, or follow-up information), the AI confirms their consent verbally before sending.
Example exchange:
Caller: "Can you text me the details?"
AI: "Sure! I'll send a confirmation text to the number you're calling from. Is that okay?"
Caller: "Yes."
What they receive:
- Appointment confirmations
- Business information (address, website links)
- Follow-up information they explicitly requested
Frequency: One-time per call. AlphaAssist does not send ongoing marketing messages to callers.
Message Types
AlphaAssist sends transactional messages only. We do not send marketing, promotional, or advertising messages. All messages are directly related to a phone call interaction or service notification.
- Message alerts: "[Business Name] Don called at 2:15 PM — wants to schedule a consultation. Phone: 555-0123."
- Appointment confirmations: "Your appointment at [Business] is confirmed for Thursday at 3 PM. Reply CANCEL to cancel."
- Follow-ups: "[Business Name] — here's our website: example.com. Call us anytime!"
Opt-Out
Any recipient can opt out of AlphaAssist text messages at any time by:
- Replying STOP to any message
- Contacting us at support@alphaassist.cc
- Business owners can disable SMS notifications in their account settings
Opt-out requests are processed immediately. After opting out, no further messages will be sent from that AlphaAssist number.
